Appearance

It is pointless.  If you can recall, we used to wear nothing, care nothing for our looks.  I find the point of makeup, the point of looking  "good" especially a good that has nothing to do with reality, something that pries on our minds and destroys it.  We have low self esteem and think we need to look a certain way to be accepted.

THIS IS THE SAD PART.  to be accepted in this society, we do need to be like this, to search for the ever fleeting beauty.  Proverbs 31:30, Charm is deceptive and beauty is fleeting; but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.

So what we need to do is not say that we will be accepted for who we are in this society but rather not even bother to think what other people think.  We are who we are, we look like who we look like.  God made us perfect.  So let's go out, be proud of the way God made us, and in this way, in each way that we show our beauty, not on the outside, but the inside, we will change society and the way it thinks about beauty.

New School Year

WAHOOOOOO
should be the response and hoped response by the teachers.  As for me, it's more like yay!

Anyways xD, I have made myself ready for this year, and failed horribly.  But here it is and I'm ready to do my best and make this year the best I can.

Some things to mention: I'm running for student rep, and have many visions for this year.  I want this school to be at it's best, for it to be a place where people want to go to.  I personally want people to be able to be friends with more then their clique, I want my class to be able to be the example and be the class where fun and yet responsibility is the core.

What else goes on...let's hope the strings club will take off, I will make new friends in the grade 9s, and continue in the chapel ministry. It's so sad that there are only 16 chapels this year :(

This is a year at a look, so much to look forward to and so much to hope for.

Realization

One: I'm not doing my homework.  Thats bad.

Two: I'm learning sooo much, from school (such as blogging...I'm hooked now) and camps/retreats.  There is so much to learn out there.

Three: I've changed. A lot.

Four: I should go do my hwk.

Robots and the Future

I don't oppose robots, not at all.  I even think that in the years to come, we will achieve new heights with their technology that we never even dreamed of.  The only thing that keeps me on the reserve is that why do we do this?  Why do we want to make objects as smart as us?  Why mess with God's creation?  Also, what will happen when they pass us?

With all of these worries and questions, I wonder where our world is going.  We want to make things bigger and better, that seems to be the motto of the world.  But robots, they are fun to think about, research about, but what do we really want?  Things to take over our lives?

I guess people make robots, thinking they will make our lives easier.  But look at what we have done so far.  To make our lives easier, we make more waste, more work, more clean up. Think about this: if we don't have anything, no possessions, we would not need to clean up and things to clean things up.  I'm not saying to go with out stuff, you do need stuff like food, clothing and other things, but do you need so much stuff?  So do we really need robots?

Rock Ridge

Rock Ridge was amazing. I can't believe we were there and there with the entire school! The best memory was getting to know everyone at school, all the new and the old.

I was surprised at Mrs. L-V and her presentation. If you were listening during my testimony, they really hit home with me. I have been struggling with sin, envy, pride and sloth to name a few. I'm sorry if some people couldn't understand me while I was talking...I was getting a little emotional.

Other amazing things: BANANNA BOAT!!!! I still have a bruise on my leg and one on my face from it. I think in all I ended up falling somewhat 10 times. It was really bad when I went twice in a row, I couldn't hang on the second time and fell a lot.

Ropes Course. Who remembers Mr. Chung getting stuck? xD I personally had a lot of fun going through it, and I was the first one to finish it too!

Zip-LIne. The longest zip-line in Canada may be slow but it was awesome, I went SUPERMAN with my camera but really want to go upside down next time.

May thing I did: trigger happy, I took sooo many pictures! xD

Conclusion: Let's go to Rock Ridge AGAIN!!!!
